Easter Sunday and Other Things She Probably Didn't Fully Appreciate

We celebrated Easter on Sunday and here is what happened.

The Easter Bunny came. Kariana has been very observant of the bunnies that have accumulated around the house during Lent. There are stuffed bunnies, decorative bunnies and many bunnies in books we have been reading -- all in anticipation of Easter. She likes to point at the bunnies and wrinkle her little nose like a bunny rabbit. This is something her dad taught her to do. But I am almost certain she did not associate the arrival of her Easter baskets with the Easter Bunny on Sunday morning.

Kariana opened the presents in her Easter baskets (yes, plural). The Easter Bunny brought Kariana, among other things, a new baby doll; a bubble machine gun; a ball; books; sugar, spice and everything nice jars for her kitchen; an apron, pot holder and mitten for her kitchen; a summer dress and a princess dress.

We went to church in our Easter dress (Thanks grandma for ironing it for us!). Kariana brought her Easter basket and hunted for more Easter eggs. She sort of got the hang of the Easter egg hunt. She was happy to find the big Easter egg with M&Ms inside.

The Easter egg hunt was on our church's playground. Kariana lost interest in the eggs and was having more fun climbing on the playground equipment. She screamed and decided running away from mom and dad would buy her more time when we were ready to go home. Too much Easter for one morning and time for a nap before Easter dinner.
